Positive Speakers Bureau (PSB) February Update

By Abby Leota
PSB Coordinator

Happy New Year to you all.
The year has kicked-off with a whiz and a bang with the new HIV Essentials online course moving another step closer to being ready for launching. Now that we have all the content sorted, we are focusing on the visual design. Once we have that finalised, we will be ready for user-testing and rolling out to all our PSB speakers hopefully in early March and then to the wider health sector, later on in the year. Meanwhile we are also working on a new PSB website and resource library, fact-sheets and an online quiz – so soon you will be able to test your own HIV knowledge.
In November last year, we worked with Caroline Williams from Caroline Williams Photography to take photos of people living with, or affected by HIV to create a library of images for the HIV Essentials course and PSB website. We were very fortunate to get over 700 images. We are working on some options on how to make the proofs available to those that contributed, and hope to have this available very soon.
We already have 17 conformed bookings for this year. Many organisations like Universities, are asking for speaker’s way in advance to avoid disappointment. If you would like to book a speaker, please contact us.
Enjoy the sunshine.
